Community at our Core
Pittsburgh Hounds is a way for Yinzers new and old to connect and explore new places with our hounds. We strive to support local businesses, explore all the parks in the region, and respect the communities we visit. We also have a Facebook group with over 600 members - and counting!
Fundraising
We strive to raise funds for local dog rescues and charities, such as The Izzie Fund, Nittany Beagle Rescue, and Midwest Beagle Rescue Education and Welfare! We’ve raised more than 1000$ so far!
Awareness
We use our platform to bring awareness to animal welfare issues in the region, especially to the hounds in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region. We also connect people with rescues and adoptable hounds.
Fun!
The goal of Pittsburgh Hounds is to have fun! We aim to make all events as accessible, diverse, and fun as possible. We plan hikes, meetups, and playdates at many different locations in the PGH region, and are always eager to take suggestions from our members.
